Zach came to see us!

This past Friday, my brother Zach, came into to town to not only hang out with Garrett and I for a couple of days but to report to the missionary training center in Provo. He reports on Wednesday Nov. 16th to train for his two year mission to New Mexico. We had so much fun with him and were so happy to be able to spend time with him since we will not be able to see him for two years!

After we picked Zach up from the airport around 2:15 pm in Salt Lake, we drove to the Salt Lake City Temple. It was so special to be able to go with Zach!

Here are some photos from the day:

After we left Salt Lake, we rushed home to get dressed for Garrett's flag football game. When we finally got to the game, Zach and I sat down to watch the game with Jordi and Caylie. After only about 10 minutes of being at the game, Garrett ran over to me and sat on the ground holding his shoulder in pain. At first I thought he was joking around, but then I realized he definitely was not kidding around with me. Apparently he hit one of the other players and then fell right onto his left shoulder. We quickly got a ice pack and Garrett said he needed to leave. We were debating on going to the hospital but decided to wait to see if it would get better.

On Saturday, we hung out during the day and went grocery shopping for the weekend. We picked up some essential foods for Zach including tons of yogurt and some food for our turkey dinner! Zach requested sweet potato casserole and green bean casserole so that is what we got!

Later that night, Zach and I made dinner which included chicken burgers, baked Parmesan fries, and asparagus. Zach was so excited to make the asparagus for us and let me just tell you it was so yummy! Asparagus will constantly be on our dinner menu.

After dinner, we headed to the BYU game in 30 degree weather!! So cold!
