Our Valentine's day!

Last night Garrett and I celebrated Valentine's day together since on actual Valentine's day I had clinical at the hospital for school till 10:30 pm. Last year Garrett was in charge of planning what we were going to do for valentine's day and this year it was my turn. I had so much fun planning it. I wanted to do something different that we never have done before and not just go out to dinner to celebrate. So this is what we did...

Around 4 o'clock yesterday, I left Garrett at home to go shop for everything that I needed for the night. When I got home from running errands, I told Garrett that he was going to have to leave for a little bit while I got everything ready. I told him he wasn't allowed to come home until I called him and I also gave him a little errand to run. Garrett's favorite food is stuffed crust cheese pizza so I sent him to go get a pizza. While he was gone I decorated the whole living room with candles, pulled out our huge bean bag from our room, and got all of the food ready.
Before Garrett got home.
When Garrett got home around 6pm the room was filled with lighted candles, music playing, and dinner was ready for him on the table except for his pizza he was bringing home.

After we had dinner, I had Garrett open his card and it had a thing of candy with it. On the back of the candy it was a coupon that I made to go to the movies to see any movie of his choice. Of course he didn't pick The Vow... but he did say I earned a lot of extra points for creativity with our valentine's day so he is going to take me next week sometime :)) ha I had picked up drinks for us and candy for Garrett for the movies when I ran errands, so we were all set to go. Garrett decided he wanted to see Man on the Ledge, so we left and went straight to the 7:00pm movie. The movie was so good! Garrett and I both were on the edge of our seats the whole time!
Before the movies.

Once the movie was over we headed home. When Garrett got in the door I grabbed his robe and slippers and made him change and told him we were going to have a spa night! It was so fun and Garrett was really surprised! ( My mom and dad got me a Clarisonic skin care brush for my birthday and Garrett had been begging me to use it, so that is how I thought of the spa night.)

We put face masks on each other that included cucumbers for our eyes... but Garrett kept eating his so his cucumbers were more of a snack... silly Garrett.

Before..

2 seconds later... and he thought I wouldn't notice.

After the mask I gave G a facial with the clarisonic brush and let me just say that thing is amazing, it makes your face so smooth! After that Garrett got a massage and then we had chocolate fondue with strawberries, bananas, pretzels, gummy bears, and then of coarse my favorite, sparkling cider!

We had a great time spending valentine's day together and definitely ate too many sweets, so it was very successful if I say so myself! I love my Garrett! Next year.. his turn :))
