An update from the Cooks:

A couple of days after Garrett and I moved into our apartment I started a CNA class in Salt Lake City with Jordan. It was a two week class from 9-5 everyday but it really took most of our day driving back and forth in traffic. Out of the class dates we had two clinical dates where we worked in an elderly home. It was a lot of fun but definitely tough. While I was in class Garrett and Zach went exploring. One day they went hiking in squaw peak which was a three hour hike. I was totally jealous when I saw this video.  Video: Garrett and Zach at Squaw Peak. We had so much fun with Zach while he was here and wish he could have stayed longer.
Once Zach went home on Wednesday Garrett and I decided it was time to get serious about putting our place together and unpacking. For basically two weeks our place was a mess. Garrett and I could not figure out where to put all of our stuff since our new place is a lot smaller than our old place. Garrett even made me put this cute chair that my mom gave us in the closet because he thought it looked too cluttered. After about a week of going back and fourth about this chair... I won and it is now out of closet in our living room! Garrett joked that even though I won he would somehow figure out a way to get rid of it even if it meant that while I was at class he would chop in up into mulch and put it outside our apartment. (I didn't like this idea at all...)
I now am happy to say though that our apartment is pretty much all set up except for pictures being put on the wall/ curtains and some decorations in the kitchen.

I picked these sunflowers when we went hiking! Aren't they sooo pretty! I am obsessed! Whenever Garrett and I are driving and see these on the side of the road  I make him pull over so I can pick some!

Our bedroom.. we still need to buy curtains and put up pictures but you will get the idea :)

So now that our house is pretty much all set up Garrett and I actually have had some time to do some fun things on the weekends. One weekend we drove up to squaw peak where you can see everything down in the valley. We drove up it at night too but I didnt have my camera. It was so amazing at night. We also drove  up to Sundance and walked around. That place is so pretty as well! Garrett and I still can't get over that we are living in the mountains! We love it!
