On Wednesday, I hit 16 weeks! Since we are visiting Florida, we decided it would be fun to go to get a gender determination while we were in town! Early Wednesday morning, Garrett and I woke up early to go to our appointment to get the ultrasound. We were so excited, I could not sleep at all the night before! When we got to our appointment the lady doing our ultrasound was so sweet. We paid for the 2D ultrasound but she ended up doing a 4D ultrasound for us which was a lot more then we paid for and we could see the baby a lot better. Both Garrett and I loved being able to actually see our baby on the monitor. The baby was so hyper the whole time! (Maybe it was because... before the appointment I took a warm shower and drank a coke to get that baby moving! ha ha I wanted to make sure the baby was awake and moving so it would be easy to see the gender! I guess it worked!) As the baby "danced" around during the ultrasound and pushed on my stomach, the lady checked for the gender and we found out it was a girl!! Throughout my whole pregnancy I thought it was a girl, but towards the end I started doubting myself. Either way we would have been excited but I am so happy to be having a baby girl! We need another girl in this family because we are definitely out numbered.
