Moving day... more like week! We are not doing this again for a very very long time!!!!

This week has for sure been a crazy week for Garrett and I and it finally is coming to a close! On Monday, while G was at work, I had to sit around the house all day waiting for our PODs to be delivered so Garrett could start loading all of our stuff. (We decided for this move we were NOT going to rent a U-haul truck and drive it across the country, if there was any way possible. Thankfully we found the company ABF, that has these Pods where you pack up everything in them and they deliver it to where ever your moving to.) Of course the people who dropped off our pods did not get here till about 4pm because it was snowing like crazy outside and the highways were really congested. G and I were hoping that he would be able to start loading everything after I picked him up, but realized it would be miserable to move all of our heavy furniture and boxes in the snow especially with the icy stairs leading to our apartment . We were crossing our fingers that Tuesday would be better and the snow would be melted. Tuesday, there was no falling snow but snow was still on the ground and G was tired after work all day so again we waited to start loading.
Our apartment complex after the snow.
The PODs

Wednesday began our moving day.. finally! During G's lunch break he came home so he could load a few things and thankfully Emory (Garrett's brother) and his friend who has a truck, came over to help get the bigger furniture loaded. They got a lot of things out of the apartment but still had a lot more to go by the time they were finished for the day. G and I ended the day with getting Chillis  to-go for dinner and coming back to our furniture- less apartment.
This morning, we woke up early so we could finish up everything and had help again from his brother, Emory and his friend and then more help from Brady and Jordan. All of them were life savers and helped so much! ( Thank you guys!) It was hard for me not to move anything and just watch everyone lift those heavy boxes though. After several hours our whole apartment was packed into theses little PODs! I do not know how everything fit in there, but I am so thankful that it all fit in two PODs instead of three because it is going to cost us a lot less money for two rather then three.
Now that we are all packed up, I am ready to head out!! I am sitting in my empty apartment going crazy writing this blog while G is at work because there is nothing to do. We are happy that we moved to Utah and got to experience a change from Florida! We met a lot of great friends and had a lot of fun exploring the mountains but there is definitely no place like home! We cannot wait to live in the same state again as our family and live back at the beach! This summer is going to be a good one for sure:) Goodbye Utah, Hello Florida!!
